HOUSTON — C.J. Stroud accounted for two touchdowns and Ka’imi Fairbairn made a go-ahead field goal with 12 seconds left to lift the Houston Texans to a 38-30 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday that extended their winning streak to nine games. The victory gives the Texans (12-5) the No. 5 seed in the AFC playoffs.

The Texans managed to beat the Colts and earn the No. 5 seed despite resting most starters in second half and lapses in coverage.

The Houston Texans head coach had some major praise for his guys after a Week 18 win over the Indianapolis Colts.

"My big hope is that when we’re in the playoffs, we’re going to make a deep run and go to the Super Bowl. We deserve that," Texans fan Rey Lopez said.

The Texans face Aaron Rodgers for the second time in as many seasons when they open the playoffs next week in Pittsburgh.

The Texans' Alijah Huzzie had played just one NFL snap before Sunday, but his teammates all expected big things from him against the Colts. That explained the huge celebration after his interception.

With a 26-24 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football, the Pittsburgh Steelers will host the Texans on Monday Night Football as the final wild-card game. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Texans just need two games in Week 18 to fall their way in order to steal the AFC South in Week 18. That relies on Houston taking care of business vs. the Colts, while the Titans take down the Jaguars on the road in Jacksonville to even up both at 12-5, and thus giving Houston the tiebreaker based on both teams’ record within the division.
